After announcing at the recent Inman News Real Estate Connect Conference in San Francisco is that Move Inc. is looking to change realtor.com from a listings website to a “destination website” for all things property related, the website has just gone live with a new Q&A feature called Ask a REALTOR®.

Ask a REALTOR® is a new question and answer feature which will be located on the REALTOR.com Blogs® homepage.

It allows site users to submit a real estate question on any relevant topic – from buying and selling a home to dealing with mortgage issues and local market trends – and receive a response from a Realtor via email.

The company says that most questions and answers will also be posted on realtor.com blogs. While there is no guarantee that all questions will be addressed, most will be answered in 24-72 hours, but some questions may take up to 5 business days.

REALTOR®’s who would like who like to answer home buyers and seller questions are invited to apply.

Current Ask a REALTOR® contributors include: Stu Barnes, Dawn Barrier, Dave Congdon, Karen Crystal, Amy Downs, Allan Glass, Kevin Kieffer, Sonya Loose, Tim McBrayer, Michael Nelson, Jonathan Osman, Bob Phillips, Arlene Skinner, Bob Stahl, Scott Voak, David Welch and Garreth Wilcock.

The new functionality puts realtor.com in line with other sites like trulia.com and zillow.com which both offer this style of Q&A service in various forms.

With reagards to local Real Estate Agents, is there a way that we can get involved with this as well?

Looks like realtor.com were looking for applications when this story was published, so I’d get in touch with them and see if they still need people to get involved. Good luck!
